This weekend a team of Scouts entered the annual District ADUTT Competition.

For those that don’t know the competition is held over the weekend, Leaders don’t stay it’s all run by the District Activities Team and judged by people from outside of the District.

The weekend is made up of three competitions. Pioneering Challenge where they are all given the same poles/string and all build the same thing. The cooking Competition where they have to cook a three course meal on the fire with two courses being hot, and then there is the overall ADUTT camping competition where they are judged throughout the weekend on general camping skills, team work etc

A huge, huge, huge well done to Jasmin, Oliver, Lauren, Geena, Presley & Olivia for an outstanding weekend. They took a clean sweep of first place in all three competitions.

Their Pioneering Challenge (a large luggage rack that had to hold all the kit) was rock solid.

They won the cooking (theme was Best of British) with a menu of:

Starter: A Full English Salad – Crisp salad with sliced Egg, Sausage & Crispy Bacon Bits.

Main: Beef in Ale Stew, Dumplings & Veg

Dessert: Apple & Blackberry Crumble with Custard.

All cooked over an open fire.

The overall ADUTT competition was won with their outstanding Teamwork (although having the best Axe cover on site may have given them the edge!)

Even more impressive is the fact that Presley still has all digits intact having been chopping wood all weekend! (only joking Presley!)

We are proud of all, once again a huge well done. You have some defending to do next year!
