What a weekend for all involved, after much planning and excitement Big Night Out 2, a Thanet District event, took place at Quex Park on a lovely warm weekend.

All sections camped together and for many, especially the Beavers , it was their first night away in a tent.

There was lots to do and all sections had the freedom to go off and pick whatever activity they liked during the day, only returning to site for meals.

Activities on offer included; popcorn and candy floss machine(both very popular), driving school, climbing, inflatables, crate stacking, bag drop, shooting, axe throwing, archery, fencing, arts and crafts, water rockets, football, zorbs and cave bus to name but a few. In the evening there were
discos, live bands, films and a talent show.

Well done to the cubs who took part in the talent show but sadly didn’t win.

Everyone achieved so much over the weekend overcoming fears, trying new things and making friends and memories.

Thanks to all the leaders and parent helpers who helped in any way to make the weekend such a success.
A special thanks to our camp cooks Christine, Jane and Sandra who kept nearly 100 of us fed and watered all weekend.
