HMS Cavalier Sleepover

It was once again time for our sleepover on HMS Cavalier at Chatham Dockyard. This is a favourite of the cubs and takes place every 2-3 years.

We arrived at the Dockyard on Saturday morning and spent the day having a look round, this included the lifeboats and a tour of the submarine HMS Ocelot. In the afternoon they learnt how to make rockets before seeing whose design went furthest, Ellie and Morgan were the victors!

We then boarded HMS Cavalier and set up our beds for the night.
After a hearty tea in the restaurant we were given a private tour of the boat before settling down to sleep.

In the morning after a very hearty breakfast we learnt how to make rope before leaving to go home.

Once again a great weekend, the weather was very unkind but the cubs had smiles on their faces all weekend and were complimented on their behaviour.
