After a two year break the Pedal Car Olympics returned to Thriftwood Scout Campsite in Brentwood. This is one of our favourite events of the year and it was great to see Colin and all the Thriftwood crew again

We took 2 teams of Scouts and 2 teams of Explorers to what ended up as the muddiest camp we have ever done. It was everywhere. May update: we still haven’t finished cleaning everything!

The competition consisted of 10 races over the weekend; Track, Pursuit, Sprint, Dizzy Donuts, Moon Buggy, Blind Skills, Tractor, Triathlon, Endurance and Relay.

Having shared our site at previous Pedal Car Olympics with 11th Broadstairs this time we had a change. It was great to share our site for the weekend with the Leaders and Scouts from 51st Bath Scout Group (related to one of our Leaders).

Scouts came 35th and 53rd out of 78 Teams

Explorers came 3rd and 17th out of 38 Teams, they also took a couple of individual places in races.

more photos to follow when Point 5 comes to terms with technology!
